Elim International Centre and Regents Theological College are based in Malvern, Worcestershire and are the international headquarters and national training centre of the Elim Pentecostal Churches. Elim operates over 550 churches in the UK and Regents is a leading Pentecostal Bible College in Europe.


Situated in 35 acres of stunning countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, the Elim International Centre is a great place to work.


The catering department serves all aspects of the West Malvern Campus, which includes the employees of Elim International centre, staff and students of Regents Theological College and the guests at the Elim Conference Centre. They now have 2 vacancies in their Kitchen for Duty Chef, one full-time and one part-time at 15 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities


Reporting to and working with the Catering Manager and Head Chef, the role is involved in kitchen and front of house service which is in line with the internal standards & statutory regulations. Key elements of the role include:

  • To prepare and cook meals, and snacks to the standards required by the management;
  • In the absence of the Head/Sous Chef, lead the kitchen team;
  • Run full shifts by yourself;
  • To ensure that company and statutory regulations pertaining to Health, Safety & Hygiene are adhered to;
  • To complete necessary documents for accurate record keeping;
  • To help with ordering, stock rotation, putting delivery’s away and stock taking;
  • To deal with customers at all times in a friendly and helpful manner;
  • Help train junior chefs;
  • To help with costing and planning daily menu’s;
  • To attend staff meetings as necessary;
  • To report to management immediately any accidents, fires, thefts, losses, damages or other irregularities;
  • To report to management any customer complaints or compliments;
  • To receive any training that may be necessary;
  • To undertake any kitchen cleaning duties;
  • To undertake any other reasonable duty as requested by management.


Hours of work – A flexible shift pattern – the role is full-time across seven days. Early morning, evening and week-end work will be required.


Person Specification


You will be a well organised person and motivated self starter. You will be someone who can lead a team to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also have excellent people skills. Ideally you will have some previous experience in catering. For more information, please download the job description
